Happy Valentine's Day

In case you didn't get an email, we wish you a late Valentine's Day. And no, I didn't curl Olivia's eyelashes. But here is one reason why I love her: As the kids were rolling out their tortillas tonight I asked Olivia if she wanted a dang quesadilla. Without looking up from her mound of dough she cooly replied, "No thanks. I don't think I could eat a whole case."

And why I love Gage: While Liv and I rolled out tortillas together, I gave Gage a small blue cup with some granola in it, and he quickly disappeared into the office. He reappeared a moment later, took me by the hand, and led me to the black "slinky" chair where granola was spilled deep into its crevices. I said, "What happened, buddy?" He looked up and saw Liv standing behind me in the doorway, pointed to her and as innocently as can be said, "Vee-lee".
