I finally talked Dylan into getting chicks. Well, semi-talked, and then I just went ahead and got 'em. We love them! Seriously, can baby animals get any cuter? The kids went nuts on Easter morn and haven't stopped harassing the poor little things.
Liv's chicken has gone through several name changes: Alexa, Priscilla, Sienna, and since I told her it was a Rhode Island Red, she has been calling it "Red". My bet is that it will end up being called Anne, after Anne of Green Gables, or a name from the book.

Gage and little Chickadee Doo Da, or Chickadee for short.

Nash and Batman. Gage suggested Batgirl, since it's a girl, but Nash is sticking with Batman.

I miss having chickens. Jacob wanted to get some for Easter, but I don't have a fenced in yard and the neighbor has big dogs. So jealous right now.
I would suggest Liv call her "Carrots" thus keeping the Anne reference and playing on the red-themed color.
I suggested that, Amber, but she felt "Carrots" was too edible a reference and made it perfectly clear that we ARE NOT going to eat this chicken.
I like Gage's name. That cracked me up.
