Princess Olivia flipped out when presented with her Barbie Princess Genevieve dress on the morning of her birthday party. She also flipped out at my awesome first experiment with fondant frosting on her Ballet Slippers cake. Basically, the entire morning was one big flip out. If you're watching the NBA finals, you will sometimes see "decibal meters" come up when the crowd goes wild. An arena full of maniacal super-fans got nothin' on seven little girls in sparkly dresses. It rattled my DNA.
The opening of gifts was the only moment of silence, followed immediately by a wave of shrill giggles and shrieks of "OPEN IT!"
Lydia, Lily, Danica, Ellie, and Livi held still for 12 seconds so I could snap a photo. Madison and Sydney showed up immediately after, but there was no hope for another group shot. All I saw for the next 3 hours was a rainbow streak of sequins and cheap satin, followed by the clacking of plastic high heels.

What a fancy schmancy shin-dig!
Does Miss Liv really own that many princess dresses, or did the attendees wear their own gowns? If those are all Olivia's, I am way jealous. I don't have a single princess dress. Well, I used to, but I grew out of it about 17 years ago. Maybe she will let me borrow one of hers...
Cute cake and very cute Olivia!
I added your blog to our links list. Is that okay?
btw, I noticed Amy S. commented. Does she have a blog?
