I think there's a lot of goodness in America. And we should spread our goodness. But never through force. We should be talking about what we can do here at home to set a good example, have a healthy, vibrant economy. Protect civil liberty. And have a foreign policy where we're minding our own business. But have trade with people, and talk with people.Ron said that in an interview with Bill Moyers recently. Its a great interview with an interviewer that isn't trying to trap or trick Paul. Rather its a genuine conversation about what Paul believes and why. Its so refreshing to find a leader that resonates with my core values!

Amen. We're voting for Ron Paul too - for a hundred reasons. Nice to know you like him too.
He is by far the best choice among a field of horrible politicians and I am voting for him... If he is still around when it comes time to vote and if I actually decide to vote.
But seeing as how Arrested Development didn't make it through even 3 full seasons and American Idol is looking strong in it's 7th season, I have no faith whatsoever in America's ability to make decisions. I doubt Ron Paul has any chance of making it through the primaries.
I too truly enjoyed the refreshing Ron Paul interview with Bill Moyers on PBS.
The thing that perturbs me most about the conventional media pundits (ABC, FOX, CNN and the like) is that they will ask a question then allow the person to begin responding then interrupt them and spew their own uninformed agenda on the air waves.
Such despicable manners! I second Joey's notion that the American people have really lost their ability to make decisions. For if they could make a decision they would sure press "Power" off when one of these pontificating pundit personalities begins to spew.
So 2 cheers for Bill Moyers and 3 for Ron Paul our next President of these United States.

He cites our involvment in the middle east as the reason why it is so violent over there. He also has a more isolationist view on our role in the world - that same type of thinking that kept us from stopping world war 2 before it got as bad as it did. It's just not a viable to position to believe that if we leave other people alone, they will leave us (and our allies) alone. HOWEVER, it is always good to hear that voice to balance the argument. I think Ron has a lot going for him (as I graded him well above) - this just isn't his strongsuit.

Ron doesn't suggest that our presence in the Middle East is the sole reason for the violence. Its just a contributing factor.
Ron isn't an isolationist. He just wants wars to be sanctioned by Congress. We can still be a part of the world through trade and diplomatic endeavors. A military presence is the exact opposite extreme of an isolationist. Ron is all for being involved with other countries. Just not in a military way.
