In honor of Dylan's 30th birthday, your life will be enriched by learning these 30 little known facts.
1. He has very, very bad eyesight. Fortunately now he has very nice glasses. In the old days he wore these:
2. One day he did approximately 30 backflips on the solid ground. We were dating. That's how he won me over.
3. He has been right at guessing all three of our children's genders. I was wrong at all 3.
4. Dylan loves hip hop, and something in him awakes and he zones out when he hears an outstanding beat.
5. His legs, especially his thighs, are incredibly muscular. You wouldn't know it by looking at him, but they're like a body builders'.
6. He's very good at surprising.
7. "Don't tell anyone this, but I love the store Bed, Bath, and Beyond."
8. He flip flops between wanting a dog and never wanting a dog.
9. He only remembers he needs to clip his fingernails in Sacrament meeting.
10. He gets a back tickle to go to sleep almost every night.
12. People can rarely tell when he's joking.
13. He's almost always joking.
14. Dylan is very good at getting prices lowered, warranties extended, introductory prices renewed, etc.
15. He's paranoid, a little beyond normal parent paranoia.
16. Although just being in the kitchen stresses him out, he's incredibly good at coming up with new desserts.
17. He has only said "No" to dessert 3 times in our married life.
18. Sometimes he talks in his sleep. "Did you ask the Panthers if they're coming to basketball?"
19. He's not fiercely competetive, but likes to win.
20. Thankfully, he's not a sports fanatic, but he loves basketball and I see him a lot less if the Jazz are in the finals.
21. More than once he has taken Olivia to a fancy dress store just to let her try on dresses.
22. After one session with a life coach, the coach told me, "Your husband is incredibly smart. I mean, really intelligent. He's probably one of the most intelligent people I've had on that couch. He can really open his mind." Duh, I married him.
23. He doesn't know how to text message. Neither do I. We're old.
24. When he teases (which is always) he offsets his jaw a little to the left. I know I'm in for it when I see the "tease teeth".
25. He likes to write rhymes, like rapping rhymes, and started a huge "battle" at his old office.
26. He's an incredibly good driver.
27. His ribs are quite ticklish. As are his feet.
28. We could go on "punning" for some time. But we know how nerdy it is, so it's okay.
29. His eyes, and especially his eyelashes are gorgeous! Long and thick and full. And he's passed them on to our children. Cha-ching!
30. We have maybe 2 pictures of him being serious.
And this might be 31 things, but deal with it: His family adores him! The past 8 years would have been awful without you, Dyl. I'm a lucky woman. And you're an wonderful man.

#32 He eats other peoples candy at work.
Dylan, you're the best! You might be the only SEO in the world who can rap.
#33 He is the CEO and CIO of HugaMonkey. Just so you know CEO stands for Chief Eating Officer and CIO stands for Chief Internets Officer.
Alex,
I'm the DJ, he's the rapper. I don't rap, I cut beats, for real!
Oh man…that top picture…is…AWESOME!
Thanks for pointing out my middle school skills. Notice even at the age of 12 I was already using a double Windsor knot to tie a tie? Impressive!
We love you Dylan - we can't wait to see you this summer. Happy Birthday!
Dillan,
Nice glasses dude!! Tyler wants to be just like you, except he is wondering if he has to wear the same kind of glasses before he can accomplish that goal.
Tyler,
Yes. To achieve awesomosity you have to wear the glasses.
Dylan
Not to take away from 31 things about Dylan, but that little brother on the right of the family picture makes me laugh . . . a lot.
Oh, Dylan! It's so good to see you haven't changed a bit!!
That little brother is Cabe, and he hated the sweater Mom made him wear.
This is a great list. I may have wet myself. Going to check now . . .
